Whitewater tubing on section 7 of the French Broad River is an exciting river tubing trip that offers an adventurous mix of

class 1+ rapids with mild class 0 in between. This trip is for the Tuber looking for a little more excitement on the river, which consists of several rolling rapids. This section of the river has great flowing water for some splashy fun. We do require life vests for all participants and have a minimum weight of 50lbs. Children 5-8 are required to tether to an adult.

 

Our hours are 10am-5 pm 7 days a week. We have trips that leave our outpost between 10am - 4pm daily.  The participant can choose between two different trips based on the length of the float. All floats end at our outpost located at 726 NC 251, Marshall which is at the end of S. Main Street just outside of downtown Marshall, NC.

 

The “2-hour Trip”  ($35) is offered 5 times daily. It provides the tuber with 2.8 miles of tubing fun. For this trip, we have a put-in on private property. It averages a little over 1.5 hours of float time. Because the French Broad is a free-flowing river, actual times fluctuate with river levels.

 

The “4-hour Trip”($45) is offered 2 times daily, at 10:00am and 12:00pm.  Participants in this trip are shuttled 5 miles up the road where they begin a 4.8-mile float that averages around 3 hours depending on river level. 

 

Both trips offered by MadCo Tubing are relaxing and dynamic and may require a fitness level and awareness to maneuver to tube away from obstacles and towards the desired route. There are spots along the river’s edge as well as rocks in the river to stop for picnicking and relaxing. This section of the French Broad has beautiful cliffs and natural scenery to enjoy while you float.
